Mrs. Karra Lakshmi travelled to Bengaluru to consult with Dr. Sampath Chandra Prasad Rao, Consultant – Skull Base Surgeon & ENT - Head and Neck Surgery, Manipal Hospital Old Airport Road. Mrs. Lakshmi had been suffering from a tumour and persistent ear discharge, and their visits to several hospitals in Hyderabad and Vijayawada had been unsuccessful. Miss Monika was diagnosed with congenital deafness at 8 months old, and her parents initially tried hearing aids and therapy for two years without success. Monika underwent a cochlear implant surgery, restoring hearing in one ear, bringing immense joy to her family.
