Dr. Sampath Chandra Prasad Rao is an Otolaryngologist who is fellowship trained in both Anterior and Lateral Skull Base Surgeries. He has worked with Prof. Mario Sanna, Prof. Paolo Castelnuovo and other prominent European Skull Base Surgeons and has a vast experience in treating various challenging Skull Base Pathologies. Dr. Rao has over 100 peer reviewed scientific publications (h index of 19), 25 chapters & 1 text book on Cochlear & other Auditory Implants by Thieme International. He is a visiting Professor at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He has pioneered many new concepts in skull base surgery in India. He is the Founder of World Skull Base. His areas of interest are Vestibular Schwannomas, Skull Base Meningiomas, Paragangliomas, Petrous Bone Cholesteatomas, Temporal Bone Malignancies, Cochlear Implantation, Bone Anchored Hearing devices, Auditory Brainstem Implantation, Nose and Paranasal tumors, Juvenile Nasopharyngeal Angiofibromas and Head & Neck Cancers.
